Chromosome Biology

Chromosomes are composed of chromatin — intricately wound strands of DNA wrapped around proteins called histones — and are known to play an important role in defining how organisms develop, function and remain healthy. CCR researchers pioneered the study of chromatin, demonstrating its functional importance and laying the groundwork for understanding its role in cancer and other diseases. We invite you to meet some of our principal investigators conducting research in this area.
