Summer Internship Programs
Spend your summer training at NCI! There are several different summer internship programs for students at various levels.
CCR Interns
CCR Cancer Research Interns (CRI) – The aim of this program is to increase diversity in biomedical research. Students from groups that are under-represented in biomedical science or from disadvantaged backgrounds are eligible to apply.

NIH Biomedical Engineering
NIH Biomedical Engineering Summer Internship Program – Offers research experience to undergraduates who have completed their junior year of college. This is an NIH-wide program that includes a number of CCR investigators.

NIH Summer Internship Program (SIP) in Biomedical Research – Apply to intern at any institute within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), including the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Summer Internship Program in Biomedical Research for Veterinary Medical Students – Offers hands-on laboratory experience for pre-doctoral veterinary medical students interested in research.

Werner H. Kirsten Program
Werner H. Kirsten Student Intern Program – High school seniors (apply in your junior year) have the opportunity to work in one of NCI’s laboratories located on the NCI at Frederick campus.
