Additional Training Programs at CCR

NCI recognizes the importance of identifying, training, and mentoring talented researchers. Several programs have been established to encourage students (undergraduate/postbaccalaureate/graduate) who are committed to careers in biomedical research.

CCR Cancer Research Interns

The CCR Cancer Research Interns (CRI) Summer Program was inaugurated in 2004 to provide an open door for students looking for an initial training opportunity.

Scholarships

The NIH Undergraduate Scholarship Program offers competitive scholarships and training to exceptional students from disadvantaged backgrounds

More Training Opportunities

  • Visit Specialized Training to learn about programs that  CCR has created to increase expertise in specific areas.
  • Visit the NCI’s Center for Cancer Training (CCT) to learn about training programs sponsored by NCI’s other centers, divisions, offices, and programs.  The CCT also provides information on funding for training grants, fellowships, research Career Development Awards, and education research grants for students and scientists at universities and institutions across the country.
