Additional Information

Kristina Tang did her undergraduate studies at Hunter College in NYC and was a Fulbright Research Scholar. Kristina joined the Cappell Lab in 2020 as a postbaccalaureate researcher where she focused on understanding how mitogen signaling influences the cell cycle in G2 phase. She was particularly interested in exploring the mechanistic role between the pocket proteins p107 and p130 and the inhibitory transcription factors E2F4 and E2F5. In addition, Kristina studied the synergistic effects of CDK4/6 inhibitors with traditional chemotherapies to induce cellular senescence. After leaving the lab, Kristina movied to NIAID as a postbaccalaureate researcher.
