RESEARCH SUMMARY
Dr. Debasish Paul is interested in the dynamic regulation of E3 ubiquitin ligases and how these dynamics result in cell cycle progression. He is particularly interesting in the role ubiquitin ligases play during the transition from quiescence into the cell cycle. For his PhD, Dr. Paul studied a number of different ubiquitin ligases and their role in the cell cycle, inflammation, and cancer. Currently, as a postdoctoral fellow in the Cappell Lab, he developing new fluorescent biosensors for ubiquitin ligases and studying the dynamics of the APC/C during cell cycle entry.
