Additional Information

I earned my B.Sc. in Biology with a concentration in neurophysiology from the University of Maryland, College Park. After graduating, I completed my first year of a post-baccalaureate fellowship in Dr. Munira Basrai’s lab, where I studied the mislocalization of the histone H3 variant CENP-A in various cancers (Ohkuni, Au, Kazi et al., Nucleic Acids Research, 2023).

Currently, I am in my second year of a post-baccalaureate fellowship through the iCURE program in Dr. Anish Thomas’s lab, where I am researching liver metastases and T-cell function in Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC). I am on the pre-medical track and aspire to become a physician-scientist in the future.
