Additional Information

I earned my medical degree from the Hirosaki University School of Medicine in Hirosaki, Japan. After completing my internal medicine residency at Mutsu General Hospital in Mutsu, I joined the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Hirosaki University. During my time as a graduate student, I conducted research on airway changes in interstitial pneumonia and nontuberculous mycobacteriosis, as well as gene mutations associated with lung cancer. I later earned my PhD from the Hirosaki University Graduate School of Medicine. Following this, I joined the NCI to advance my research on lung cancer. Currently, I am investigating the molecular pharmacology of drugs targeting DNA repair and aneuploidy in SCLC.
