Additional Information
Wendy Fang graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and a minor in Disability Studies. She joined the Pediatric Oncology Branch in January 2024 with the aim of studying neuroblastoma in Dr. Thiele’s lab. She has worked with Dr. Thiele’s team to investigate the chromatin looping factor LDB1 to understand the super-enhancer landscape in neuroblastoma. Wendy is currently working with members in the lab to identify critical transcription factors that drive neuroblastoma plasticity and chemoresistance as well as studying clinically relevant inhibitors that target the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex.
During her free time, Wendy enjoys searching for new bakeries, spending time at the library, and watching Bones.
