Mr. Rod Carlo Columbres obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2018. He is currently a third-year medical student at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Hattiesburg, Mississippi. In 2022, he received a prestigious NIH Medical Research Scholars Program (MRSP) fellowship and joined GMB for his research training. He is co-mentored by Drs. Rouf Banday and Andrea Apolo. His research focuses on identifying the role of SF3B1 mutations in bladder cancer.
