Dr. Arup Chakraborty received his Ph.D. from Texas Tech University in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute through a graduate partnership program in 2011. Before joining NCI in September 2022, Dr. Chakraborty pursued postdoctoral fellowships at the Ohio State University and the NIH’s National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. He has diverse expertise in translational cancer research. In Dr. Banday’s lab, his research focuses on exploring mechanisms of APOBEC-mediated mutagenesis and developing novel therapeutic approaches for bladder cancer using clinically relevant in vitro and in vivo models.
