Dipanwita Mitra completed her BS and MS in Microbiology from the University of Calcutta, India. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, MS, where she studied glycosaminoglycan and peptide-based targeting of human cytomegalovirus infection. She joined Dr. Laurie Krug’s lab in 2022 as a postdoctoral fellow. Currently, her research focuses on developing gammaherpesvirus vaccine candidates using the novel codon shuffling technology in an MHV68 animal model of infection.
