Additional Information
Anusha Kalavacharla received her Bachelor’s of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of Cincinnati in 2022. There she studied cell-type dependent differences in the life cycle of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) and the roles they may play in contributing to glioblastoma tumorigenesis. Since joining the Krug lab, her work focuses on the model pathogen murine gammaherpesvirus 68’s (MHV68) viral ribonucleotide reductase large subunit, ORF61, and its role in subverting host antiviral responses through the reorganization of promyelocytic leukemia nuclear body (PML-NBs). Anusha intends to apply for graduate programs to pursue her PhD in microbiology & immunology.
