David obtained his bachelor's in biochemistry and genetics from the University of Sheffield, U.K., in 2015. He then conducted doctoral research at the Babraham Institute at the University of Cambridge in the U.K. in the laboratory of Martin Turner, where David performed CRISPR genetic screens of RNA binding proteins to identify a role for N6‐methyladenosine in promoting B cell to plasma cell transition. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2021 and joined the NCI in the same year.
