Victoria Stepanyants received her Bachelor’s in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University in May 2021. As an undergraduate, she investigated the role of the anterior insular cortex in threat learning by examining changes in neuronal signaling in a mouse model for psychiatric disorders such as PTSD and anxiety disorder. In the Krug lab, Victoria is focusing on using CRISPR editing to target latent Epstein Barr Virus infection. Victoria is currently applying for fall 2023 entry into medical school.
