Additional Information
While working in Dr. Larson's lab, Dr. Patange engineered an optogenetic variant of the MYC oncogene (Pi-MYC) to control nuclear translocation in live cells. Employed single-molecule and live-cell microscopy techniques to investigate the role of MYC in modulating RNA transcriptional bursting and transcription factor binding dynamics in human cells.
Dr. Patange is currently a Staff Biologist with the NIST Material Measurement Laboratory, Biosystems and Biomaterials Division. Her project areas focus on single-cell manipulation technologies and quantitative single-cell metrics to characterize the on- and off- target activity of CRISPR/Cas genome editing systems.
