Haley Tran is a postbaccalaureate fellow in the Cancer and Developmental Biology Laboratory. She is studying the role of Sp5 and Sp8 in regulating the canonical Wnt pathway. Sp5 and Sp8 are zinc finger transcription factors that serve as downstream effectors and are targets of Wnt signaling. To investigate the mechanism by which Sp5 and Sp8 alters Wnt signaling, she utilizes various assays and techniques in mouse embryonic stem cells and mouse embryos.
