Additional Information

During my time in the Davies Lab in the summer of 2022, I worked alongside Dr. Erin Davies in investigating the effects of Wnt modulators on planarians. We exposed developing embryos and regenerating amputees to certain molecules known to alter the Wnt pathway,causing abnormal growth and development. By doing this, we aim to gather a fuller understanding of what goes on in planarians that allows them to have such regenerative abilities, and possibly be able to transfer this knowledge to human biological pathways in the future.
