RESEARCH SUMMARY
Neil is currently conducting independent research to characterize fertility and fecundity of different planarian clonal animal strains, as well as dose-response irradiation studies for cell transplantation experiments.

Neil T. Kallgren, B.A.
Neil Kallgren received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hood College in Frederick, MD. After completing his undergraduate degree, Neil worked for 8 years under the NICHD aquatics contract at the NIH where he was responsible for the care of zebrafish (Danio rerio), African clawed frogs (Xenopus laevis and Xenopus tropicalis), rotifers (Brachionus plicatalis), and Cavefish (Astyanax mexicanus). Neil is currently providing animal husbandry and care for Dr. Erin Davies and Dr. Ira Daar aquatics facilities of the Laboratories of Cell and Developmental Signaling and Cancer and Developmental Biology at the NCI in Frederick, MD.
