RESEARCH SUMMARY

Our group uses multidisciplinary approaches to advance fundamental and translational research axes:

  • Elucidating the metabolic programs regulating T cell differentiation and anti-tumor effector responses
  • Mechanistic evaluations of immune cell function to develop of novel immunotherapy strategies – including chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells – for the treatment of patients with pediatric cancers and immunodeficiencies
  • Determining the impact of metabolic parameters on hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) differentiation, with a focus on normal and pathological erythropoiesis and lymphopoiesis
  • Understanding the crosstalk between tumor growth and the bone marrow microenvironment

Areas of Expertise

Hemato-Metabolism
Thymocyte Differentiation
Gene Therapy
