Additional Information

Dr. Kwon received Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology from Rutgers University in New Jersey. His research is particularly focused on macrophages, innate immune cells whose roles are not fully understood in the progression of diseases such as cancer and fibrosis. He is also interested in screening drugs that can protect or mitigate the side effects that can occur during radiation therapy in patients with cancer.
