Sherimay Ablan, B.A.

RESEARCH SUMMARY

Sherimay Ablan earned her B.A. in biology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  She contributes to all the research projects in the lab, with a primary focus on developing potent and broadly active HIV-1 maturation inhibitors (MIs) and elucidating the molecular, biochemical, and structural basis for MI activity.  Sherimay received the Federal Technology Transfer Award for her work on MIs and the NIH Special Act or Service Award for her role in the design, planning, and renovation of a BSL2* HIV containment laboratory.
