RESEARCH SUMMARY
Jessica Lake is a physician scientist with clinical and research interests focused on improving cellular/immunotherapy for the treatment of pediatric solid tumors. She is interested in the design and conduct of clinical trials that take insights from solid tumor biology and tumor microenvironment research and translate that knowledge into novel and innovative therapies for solid tumor patients.

Research
Dr. Lake’s research interests include the development of clinical trials for children, adolescents, and young adults with solid tumors. Her focus is on cellular and other therapies that help activate and enhance the immune system to eliminate cancer.
Biography
Jessica A. Lake, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Lake received her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine in 2013 and completed her pediatric residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2016. She completed a pediatric hematology/oncology/BMT fellowship (2019) and a pediatric cancer research fellowship (2021) at the University of Colorado/Children’s Hospital Colorado. Starting in 2021, she served as faculty at Children’s Hospital Colorado before joining the Pediatric Oncology Branch at the National Cancer Institute in 2023 as an Assistant Research Physician under the mentorship of Dr. Rosie Kaplan.
