RESEARCH SUMMARY

Bhabadeb earned a Bachelor of Education and Master of Science from Calcutta Universty in India and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Calcutta. He performed postdoctoral studies at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Maryland, where he focused on the adaptive immune response during systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disorder. Bhabadeb was later appointed as a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and then as Research Biologist in the National Cancer Institute, a position that he now holds in the Compton Lab since 2021. He helps carry out all lab activities and contributes to the training and mentoring of fellows in the lab.
