Saliha  Majdoul received her Ph.D. from the University of Paris Saclay in 2016 where she studied the entry steps of lentiviral vectors into hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells for gene therapy approaches under the direction of Dr. Anne Galy. After graduating, Dr. Majdoul joined the  Antiviral Immunity and Resistance Section under the direction of Dr. Alex Compton at the NCI Frederick, NIH. Her work focuses on the cellular antiviral restrictions led by host factors against retrovirus infection. Following the completion of her postdoctoral fellowship, she joined Dr. Naomi Taylor's lab in an effort to contribute to the success of the group in generating new gene therapy protocols – especially in the CAR T cell domain.
