Dr. Enis C. Yilmaz joined the Molecular Imaging Branch as a postdoctoral researcher after he completed his medical training at Bahcesehir University, Istanbul, Türkiye in 2021 with a full scholarship. His research mainly focuses on prostate cancer imaging, MRI/US-fusion guided biopsy, and health disparities in prostate cancer. Under the supervision of Dr. Baris Turkbey, Dr. Yilmaz is engaged in the evaluation of the Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) in clinical practice. He is also exploring the potential of AI algorithms for improving diagnostic accuracy, risk stratification, and decision-making in prostate cancer. Dr. Yilmaz serves as an Associate Editor in the Radiology In Training Editorial Board. He is an active member of RSNA, ARRS, ACR, and SAR. He recently applied for a residency in diagnostic radiology to fulfill his dream of becoming a physician/scientist. Dr. Yilmaz has a keen interest in digital arts and traveling, and he holds a particular fondness for the cupcakes in Georgetown.
