Mason Belue is a medical student at UAMS (University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences) with a biomedical engineering degree from the University of Arkansas. Mason has research interests within the AI domain, specializing in tumor segmentation and classification. They are also interested in AI-based image quality assessment and its consequential impact on cancer grading and biopsy yield. Mason often bikes and spends time with friends when taking a break from their rigorous studies. Having earned accolades such as the NIH T32 training grant, the NIH Medical Research Scholars Program fellowship, and the NCI Cancer Research Training Award, Mason remains an active RSNA, ARRS, and ACR member. Their goal is to graduate in May 2025 and carve a niche in radiology.
