Wenshan Wu is a PhD student in Dr. Erin Molloy’s Lab at the Department of Computer Science at UMD College Park and jointly appointed to the Nguyen Lab at the National Cancer Institute. Her research interests lie in Deep Learning in bioinformatics. Wenshan is part of the NCI-UMD Integrative Cancer Research partnership program. Prior to obtaining her PhD, she completed her undergraduate studies in Computer Science at NTU Singapore. In her spare time, she enjoys learning new languages, playing the Guzheng (a Chinese instrument), and playing table tennis. Her project is focused on developing novel methodologies for analyzing spatial transcriptomics datasets, like Visium HD.
