Research Summary
Weizhen Li earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from George Washington University in 2023, where she investigated cardiac electro- and molecular physiology under hypoxia and pathological conditions, guided by Dr. Emilia Entcheva. In 2024, she joined Dr. Mathew Wolf’s group at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in the Cancer Biomaterials Engineering Section, bringing a fresh perspective to the study of immunoregulation and the advancement of cancer immunotherapies. Leveraging her engineering background and experience in systematic assay development, she is now focused on designing and implementing multispectral FACS panels for immune cell phenotyping in extracellular matrix scaffold (EMS)-assisted lymphoma vaccines.
