RESEARCH SUMMARY
Md Shakir Uddin Ahmed completed his Ph.D. training in Integrative Biosciences and Cancer Biology. His dissertation research focused on breast cancer exosomes in modulating immunometabolism. He also explored targeted drug delivery for metastatic breast cancer.
Shakir joined Dr. Yang's lab to investigate mechanisms of tumor dormancy mediated by the host immune microenvironment. He is utilizing sc-RNA seq, sc-ATAC and other technology to dissect the molecular regulators and search for potential clinical applications.
