RESEARCH SUMMARY
Meghna Tripathi earned her B.S. in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Arizona, where she conducted phylogenetic analysis of HIV-1 vpr sequences in Dr. Nafees Ahmad’s lab. She is currently working on characterizing the antiviral mechanism of capsid inhibitor 1261 in the HIV-1 replication cycle, which may prove to be a promising potential compound for therapeutics and clinical trials.
