RESEARCH SUMMARY
Matt earned a B.A. in biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder. While there he did research on outer membrane protein folding in Gram-negative bacteria in Dr. Marcelo Sousa’s group. Currently, he is working on developing new methods to better visualize HIV-1 viral particle formation using fluorescent microscopy. He is also working to develop new methods for high throughput drug screening of compounds antagonistic to coronavirus proteases in a BSL-2 setting.
