RESEARCH SUMMARY
Dr. Stortz is a biologist and received his Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He joined Misteli’s lab at the National Cancer Institute as a post-doctoral fellow in 2021. The main aim of his research is understanding how the 3D organization of the genome influences the regulation of gene expression. By using a synthetic biology approach to control chromatin architecture, Dr. Stortz aims to explore the complex relation between genome structure and function.
