RESEARCH SUMMARY

Josie Trichka is a graduate fellow in the Experimental Immunology Branch of the National Cancer Institute. She graduated from Middlebury College with a B.A. in Biochemistry and a minor in English in May of 2017. In July of 2018, she matriculated into Case Western Reserve University's MD/PhD program. She joined Dr. Stanley Adoro's lab in August of 2019 and subsequently moved with him to the NCI in August of 2022 to complete her dissertation research. She studies the mechanisms that resolve inflammation in peripheral tissues, particularly the role of proteostasis machinery in regulating immune cell-tissue cross-talk. Upon completing her dissertation research at the NCI, Josie will return to Cleveland to complete the final two years of her medical training.
