RESEARCH SUMMARY

Gauri Prasad is a joint postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Efsun Arda at the Laboratory of Receptor Biology and Gene Expression and Dr. Laufey Amundadottir at the Laboratory of Translational Genomics (LTG) in National Cancer Institute. She received her PhD in Human Genetics from the CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, New Delhi, India in 2021 where she studied DNA copy number variations influencing risk of type 2 diabetes in Indian populations. In the Arda lab, she is investigating the effects of genetic variation on pancreas cancer risk using a systems biology approach under the mentorship of Dr. Arda and Dr. Amundadottir.
