RESEARCH SUMMARY

Felipe Angeles Castro Martinez is a postdoctoral fellow in the Experimental Immunology Branch of the National Cancer Institute. He obtained his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnical Institute (Cinvestav-IPN), Mexico, in October 2021. In April of 2022, he joined Dr. Chuan Wu’s lab where he investigates the role of glycosylation in intestinal immunoglobulin A on the function of the intestinal barrier. Upon completing his training at the NCI, Felipe hopes running a research laboratory to study pathologies such as the inflammatory bowel diseases and colon cancer.
