RESEARCH SUMMARY

Dr. Cheryl Cero received an M.Ss. in Biology and Biomedical Applications from the University of Parma, Italy and a Ph.D. in Biology and Integrative Physiology from the University of Minnesota.

Her postdoctoral training was in the Laboratory of Translational Physiology Section, Diabetes, Endocrinology at NIDDK, NIH. Her research focused on investigating the metabolic role of human brown fat in glucose and lipid homeostasis and identifying mechanisms and signaling pathways that increase its ability to improve metabolic function.
