RESEARCH SUMMARY

Dr. Behera received his master’s from Banaras Hindu University and his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research in Bangalore, India. In 2020 he joined Angela Brook’s lab at the University of California Santa Cruz to study mechanism of regulation by splicing factor mutation U2AF1S34F in the onset of KRASG12V-driven lung cancer. Amit joined the Functional Transcriptomics Section in October 2022 where he applies functional genomics strategies to explore the regulatory complexity of alternative splicing.

Areas of Expertise
