RESEARCH SUMMARY

Travis Stracker’s research focuses on understanding how cells respond to DNA damage and maintain genomic stability. Defects in the cellular response to DNA damage underlie rare diseases associated with cancer predisposition and are exploitable vulnerabilities for cancer therapy. The lab uses a variety of approaches to further understand the signal transduction pathways triggered by radio and chemotherapy and to identify new therapeutic targets.

Areas of Expertise

DNA Damage Response
Chromosomal Instability
DNA Repair
Chromatin Assembly
