Isabella Church, B.S.

RESEARCH SUMMARY

Isabella Church joined the Merlino Lab as a postbaccalaureate CRTA fellow after graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. She works closely with Dr. Perez-Guijarro to develop and characterize preclinical mouse models of metastatic melanoma. The goal of her work is to describe the molecular and microenvironmental mechanisms that contribute to immunotherapy resistance at brain metastatic sites. After her training in the Merlino Lab, Isabella hopes to directly impact patient care and therapeutic outcomes as a future physician.
