Additional Information

Dr. Behnaz Ghaemi is a dedicated researcher specializing in innovative approaches to cancer theranostics. She earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and Nanomedicine from Tehran University of Medical Sciences graduating at the top of her class.
In 2021, Dr. Ghaemi joined the Department of Radiology at Johns Hopkins Medicine as a postdoctoral fellow, where she played a pivotal role in identifying new molecular and cellular targets for tumor theranostics. In March 2024, she transitioned to the Molecular Imaging Branch of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a Research Scientist, focusing on the development of radiotracers for immuno-theranostics of both solid tumors and hematological malignancies.
Dr. Ghaemi’s research interests center on novel tumor theranostics and immunotherapeutic strategies targeting the tumor microenvironment. She is committed to advancing cancer treatment and improving patient outcomes through cutting-edge, translational research.
Her achievements have garnered several honors, including the Young Investigator Award from the World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS) and the Women in Molecular Imaging Science Award from the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM).
