Research
Oncogenesis results from the alternations of oncogenes and tumor suppressors. Technologies such as microarray, SNP array, Chip-Chip, methylation array and next-generation sequencing iare among the most powerful tools used to study cancer in this lab. These approaches monitor the global profiles of the alternations in DNA sequence, DNA methylation, mRNA expression, etc., providing an enormous amount of information about the mechanism of oncogenesis and metastasis. I utilize different statistic and bioinformatic tools to investigate and integrate these raw datasets of different types, recognize statistically significant signals, and identify the genes and pathways potentially related to cancer development and metastasis. These results will ultimately help us in clinical research as well as drug discovery and development of cancer therapy.
