RESEARCH SUMMARY
My PhD work under the guidance of Drs Joan and Ronald Conaway at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research uncovered a novel feature of the histone chaperone FACT, a protein strongly associated with aggressive cancers, in RNA promoter-proximal pausing. My current research involves using genomics, proteomics, and biophysics approaches to investigate roles of Glucocorticoid Receptor (GR) mutations associated with primary generalized glucocorticoid resistance syndrome in transcription and chromatin dynamics.
Areas of Expertise
1) RNA Transcription and Chromatin biology, 2) Biochemistry and Molecular biology, 3) Genomics, 4) Biophysics, 5) Hormone receptors
