RESEARCH SUMMARY
Rahul Lakhotia's clinical research focuses on the development of novel targeted therapy and immunotherapy for treatment of indolent and aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Another area of interest is the development of novel lymphoma-specific biomarkers such as circulating tumor DNA for prognostication and monitoring of treatment response and relapse.

Biography
Rahul Lakhotia, M.D.
Dr. Rahul Lakhotia received his M.D. from the Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital Mumbai in 2012 and completed internal medicine residency training at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident. He then completed a hematology and medical oncology fellowship in 2020 through the National Cancer Institute and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Lakhotia served as Chief Fellow during the last year of his fellowship. He then joined the Lymphoid Malignancies Branch as an Assistant Research Physician with a clinical research focus on the pathobiology and treatment of both indolent and aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Dr. Lakhotia is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
