RESEARCH SUMMARY

Nishu Tyagi is a postdoc fellow in the Shalini Oberdoerffer lab at the Laboratory of Receptor Biology and Gene Expression at the National Cancer Institute. She has received her PhD in Biological Sciences from Institute of genomics and integrated biology, New Delhi, India in 2023 where she studied the role of tandem repeat expansion in causing neuromuscular disorders. Meanwhile she developed an interest in epitranscriptome and joined Oberdoerffer lab. In this lab, she is doing research towards the action of RNA acetyl transferases and deacetylases in immune response modulation against viral and bacterial infection.
