Maruhen Silveira earned his master’s degree in Brazil, focusing on the areas of fetal programming and obesity. In 2018, Maruhen started his Ph.D. at the University Laval (Canada), where he studied the influence of transcription factors and chaperones in breast cancer and endocrine resistance. Then, as part of the Graduate Partnership Program, Maruhen joined the Laboratory of Human Carcinogenesis in 2021, and is interested in the influence of the host-microbiota interactions in liver cancer. He is motivated to disseminate knowledge and help people.
