RESEARCH SUMMARY

Gatikrushna Panigrahi is an experienced biomedical scientist with research expertise in tumor biology, cell and molecular biology. His work focuses on investigating the impact of comorbidities, such as diabetes and hyperglycemia, on tumor biology. He has utilized xenograft models, patient tumor analyses, and in vitro studies to unravel the intricate relationship between diabetes and cancer. Notably, he has conducted multi-omics studies, including global transcriptomics, metabolomics, cytokine profiling, and whole-exome sequencing, to identify gene and metabolite signatures associated with diabetes-related breast cancer.
