RESEARCH SUMMARY

Farid received his Ph.D. from Indiana University in Computer Science focusing on modeling tumor evolution and progression from single-cell sequencing data. His current research in the Laboratory of Human Carcinogenesis is centered around investigating the impact of intra-tumor heterogeneity and the history of tumor evolution in response to the immune system on the effectiveness of therapeutic approaches for liver cancer. He is also actively exploring various avenues to develop a liver cancer vaccine by studying the role of beneficial viruses. Outside of his research, Farid enjoys engaging in various activities such as playing tennis, cooking, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
