Short Synopsis of Professional Interests
As a Social Worker at the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation I work with childhood brain tumor patients from day one of diagnosis through adulthood. Current research interests includes bereaved siblings and social interventions for children and teen brain tumor survivors. Previous research has focused on Palliative Care for homeless patients and Palliative Care in the Chinese Community.
I am also the Patient Advocate at the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine for a DMG/DIPG CAR-T Clinical Trial at Stanford.
In 2023 I am celebrating 26 years as a childhood brain tumor survivor.
