RESEARCH SUMMARY
Dr. Jihye Lee is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Changqing Xie’s lab since 2021. Dr. Lee received her PhD degree with colon cancer research in Nutritional Science from University of Maryland College Park. She joined University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine as a postdoctoral fellow and received training about inducible pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Her current research interest is cancer stem cells in cholangiocarcinoma. In detail, she studies interaction between cholangiocarcinoma surrounding immune cells in tumor microenvironment and how the interaction affects cancer stemness and phenotypes.
