Post-doctoral Fellow - Immunology, Cellular Therapy
Position is with:
A post-doctoral fellow position in immunology and cellular therapy is available in the Laboratory of Dr. Sung-Yun Pai, Chief of the Immune Deficiency Cellular Therapy Program, Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute. Dr. Pai’s research focuses on the study of inborn errors of immunity, its treatment with allogeneic transplantation and gene therapy using viral vectors and the development of novel treatments for these disorders. The laboratory performs translational research using rare disease human samples, mouse models, molecular biology, and material from multi-institutional clinical trials. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and have less than 5 years (preferably less than 2 years) of post-doctoral experience. Applicants with a strong publication record and expertise in hematopoietic stem cell biology, hematopoiesis, human and mouse immunology, genetics and/or molecular biology are encouraged to apply. The candidate should be highly motivated, responsible and detail-oriented, passionate about work that relates to human health, have strong organizational and time management skills, able to work effectively in a team, and have excellent communication and writing skills. The fully funded position is available immediately and the appointment duration is up to 5 years.
